Violet - Hey Ho Silver Lining

Violet will you ever be able to relieve yourself of the 'melancholy, addictive personality, suffers downs ....alot.....' tags that have dogged you since time began? Tough call, as they are as much a part of your personality make-up as the clouds are to the rain. However, there is light at the end of the rainbow, because, when you do shine, you dazzle!.
Is it any wonder then, you have also earned yourself the not so well known tag of being the 'up and down' one of the spectrum, or in more serious cases, the moody one, even, the bi-polar being. Your cousin purple holds second place to orange as the most popular 'love me' or 'hate me' colour. The diverse attributes and associations for violet and purple are huge, from sophistication through to sloppy, heavy and dramatic.
In the right hue the effect is luxurious, in the right setting/placement, a happy uplifting colour that oozes sophistication and is uplifting and dignified, cleansing, clearing and refreshing. Yet in the wrong placement and hue unfortunately the opposite is true, cheap and tacky, depressive, heavy and a complete turn off. A purple haze best describes violet / purple in the wrong placement, as the depressive side is shown in all its glory.
Yet, the silver lining is there to be discovered, the glorious, regal, noble and dignified aspects of violet and purple when unleashed are second to none in the effects the colour has on everyone. The colour of Divine inspiration, of mind over matter, the higher self overcoming the lower self. In the right hue it will encourage aspirations to the highest ideals, integrity and right thinking. Restoring the much needed balance between mind, body and spirit, in this busy stressful world of ours today, this rarely considered aspect of violet and purple is much much needed today.
Hey ho silver lining ......
"Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men." Martin Luther King.
