The most recent survey alleges that 60% of farmers in the UK may consider selling up over the next 18 months as they are struggling to survive.

We cannot allow this to happen.

Once gone they are gone!

And what a loss!

How can we make a difference, how can we help?

By supporting our local farms.

Buying British.

By buying local, by seeking out the local farmer and buying his/her meat, vegetables and fruit, alongside anything else that is British they may be selling.

Jeremy Clarkson will only stock and sell British goods in his farm shop, maybe it is time that we follow his lead...............to think British and to buy British.

The budget it is claimed will now have a detrimental effect on farmers being able to pass their farms onto their children/families.

many may have to sell up to pay the huge taxes and lose everything.

There are farms where they have been in families ownership since pre and post war! Our farmers and their helpers have toiled every day all year through, working long hours in all weathers just to keep their heads above water.

Their rising costs are shocking, coupled with this latest blow is terrible.

To lose their land will be devastating for them and for us!

Farmers suicides were remarkable prior to this latest blow, I pray the remaining farmers can hold on as we need the farmers, we need the food they produce. Our standards are allegedly the highest in the world. Pesticides banned here are used on overseas produce allegedly.

British farmers produce good top quality food.

How can we support our British farmers? by buying British! By supporting local farms and by buying direct from them.

THE NFU HAS ORGANISED A LONDON RALLY

19th November, 2024

There has been an announcement from NFU - National Farmers Union, there will be a farmers rally against the unfairness to farmers in London on  Tuesday 19th November at Church House conference Centre at Westminster, central London, which will be able to accommodate 600 farmers . But many more are expected to descend on the capital, organised by the NFU - National Farmers Union (they offer great terms and top service for motor and home insurance folks too!) , objecting to their unfair treatment, will we see tractors lining London streets as seen overseas?
