Symbolism – Fact or Fiction

My last blog I uploaded on 15th June, 2025. A few days later I found a news piece from the States sharing that allegedly President Trump had bought, from his own funds, a second 88 foot flag pole and raised a second American flag flying over the White House, one positioned on the North lawn and the second positioned on the South lawn. 

The article mentioned, what is commonly known, that he is one of only two Presidents who is not accepting the Presidents salary, the monies are returned to the general coffers to benefit all. But I digress, and please do not assume from this I support him and his works, I am in no position to support a man in a Country I know very little about and politics hold no allure for me. There is more than enough going on in my own Country to try figure without muddying the waters! I am not into politics, I am however into the symbolism.

What I am trying to understand is, what is the symbolism of having two American flags flying at the White House? The thinking behind it and the message it is sending and to whom?

Much speculation abounds, and growing, people are coming up with so many different heories. I watch and listen with much fascination and intrigue. In America there has always allegedly been a north south divide, flying two flags so purposefully positioned, could represent the coming together, the uniting of the north and south, equal respect for both.

I leave this with you to mull over as you may well come up with a far better explanation than I or many others have todate. What we can be assured of I believe, there is a message, but what is it?.
