My Colour Understanding Has Changed

It is well known and accepted by many that colour is my passion and life's work. Coming full circle and on the last lap this life time around, having slowed right down, I find my thoughts, my views and my understanding of the subject I have dedicated most of my life to have changed in practice, yet I hold fast to my connection to Mother Earth.

I find myself turning my back on the methods I have taught and used over previous years. With regard to the foundation of colour, to understand the complexities and combinations coupled with the variety of uses, nature holds the key, on this I stand firm and do not waiver.

Colour is complex and profound yet paradoxical, because the foremost and simplest method to commence colour understanding and training in my view stands firm and unchanged, is by connecting with Mother Earth and with all she provides. The key to unlocking colour wisdom is to study nature, to stay close to nature, in living, eating and being. To learn how to use her vast variety of colour combinations rather than separate colour into colour blocks,wheels, patterns, seasons etc etc. These methods maybe right for some  artists designers etc but not, I believe, for colour practitioners and colour healers who seek to use colour in combination with a deeper spiritual connection, linking as above as below in all of their work. 

There is so much new ground to cover, to discard much of the old colour ways and to forge forwards with innovative and pioneering new methods and ideas, new thinking and new ways of doing is a daunting task, yet I have begun in my own small way, and will continue to do so, I shall note my findings in the latest book that I am writing, it will be especially for all those innovative minds who may wish to read and use the new information and maybe expand and grow the work in their own way to add their own discoveries for others to benefit from.

We stand on the edge of a new world, with so many changes afoot, yet  with a glorious light and hope, as it is my firm belief that colour, in its full glory is ready to burst forth in wondrous new ways to help many in the transient times ahead.

I want to encourage you to observe nature, to learn and to understand the deeper significance of each colour combination plus, as an example, look at what enjoys growing near to what plant, by noting the colours, uses, and by always asking the question, why?

My belief is, in years to come many will use colour to benefit mankind and for wonderful healing purposes, far more than we have ever seen or is seen today, as we are on the threshold of the greatest colour understanding and wisdom mankind has grasped. My belief and understanding has always been to be guided in entirety by the Divine Management and by nature, I have never faltered from that, now I come full circle and encourage you all to look outside for your colour understanding and learning. Colour knowledge learnt from nature used in combination with the understanding you gain in your quiet moments of prayer or meditation when you sit quietly and attune, is the true goal.
