Harmony

Stacked gray stones on a pebble beach with a tranquil blue sea in the background. Calm and serene mood.

I was sat listening to an interesting group of people chatting together about harmony. Harmony within one self, harmony with each other, harmony with loved ones, harmony in the home and at work. Yet not one  of the group spoke about the harmony of the planet.

I asked whether anyone had thought of the harmonies that exist upon the planet and the effects they may have on us? With my love of nature and the natural world it was not hard for me to think first of the planet once the word harmony was spoken.

I love hearing the many diverse and beautiful harmonies that surround us all, they are there for us all to appreciate and to benefit from.

The song of the birds, oh so many glorious different types of bird song, the muffle of hedgehogs as they stroll through the night seeking food, never forgetting the mumbling and soft snorts of the moles as they busy themselves digging, the gentle murmuring of the wind one day as soft as a kitten , the next a ferocious whistling wind soaring through the trees.

The mighty roar of the ocean, claps of thunder and lightning, then the stillness and peace as sunshine breaks through to warm the body and raise the mood, all these and more working together to bring us a master class in harmonies, the harmonies of the planet, they affect us on so many levels In positive ways.

Not surprisingly they also allow us to see the wondrous blending of colour, form and movement.
