Colour has a near and dear place in my heart.

Colour makes my soul sing.

Colour IS glorious.

I love colour and I love discovering colours place in the world and discovering what impact colour has on our lives and the world around us.

I have always seen my job as discovering how colour works then sharing that information through and by creating fun exercises to bring colour alive and into peoples lives via a practical method, so they too can become as excited about colour as I am.

Colour discoveries are fun for the soul. A magical place where I can play with all the colours and while playing with this glorious thing I am discovering, not creating, I am discovering about colour and the world around me and how all the different parts blend together and work in perfect collaboration and harmony together to make a perfect whole.

While I am discovering at times it seems over bearing as I struggle to make sense of it all, struggling to place all the information Ive gathered from around me into a cohesive whole,  then all of a sudden and usually when Im knee deep in thoughts and processes, suddenly the brain haze clears and it all makes wonderful perfect sense, and it is at those glorious moments that confirms to me that I am not creating it I am discovering it, and it is the most wonderful feeling.

If you really think about it, and as I wrote way back in 2000 in my first best selling book, Colours of the Soul, colour IS everything, a cursory glance in our homes, in our work places, when walking outside confirms that colour is absolutely everywhere, yet so many take it for granted, never thinking of the impact that colour may have on us, they sit and watch a glorious colourful sunset never thinking more deeply and asking themselves, why?.....

yet here we are, colourful beings in a colourful world.

we eat colour, we drink colour, we play colour, music is colour, we wear colour, we see colour, we grow colour, we live in colour and we are colour!

No one has to go on a course to learn more about colour, all one needs do is to find the colours one best likes. Then bring those colours in different shades into your wardrobe and home.

Everyone can benefit from colour from following the master of colour combinations, Mother Nature.

Look and observe the glorious colours nature combines, you will know the ones you love and are attracted to, and bring those colour combinations into your life and your home environment.

I always prefer to bring colour into the home via soft furnishings, accessories and objects, as when your current colour choices fade, and they will, all of the above can be easily and cost-effectively replaced with your current colour choices.

Don't get bogged down by the why's and wherefores.

Is it so important to know why you prefer these colours over those?

Is it so important to know the meanings of colours?

I have learnt so much over the years and my thoughts and understandings of the subject I love, colour, is forever changing as I discover more and more.

There are many opinions abound, mine included from past findings, this colour means this or that, when the real question should be, how do you feel when you wear this colour? bring this colour into your home? are in close proximity to this or that colour?

Always, always Choose the colours you love, use them in your home in ways Ive suggested above and in your choice of clothes and feel free and happy, as you will, when surrounded by what you love.

And when your love of those colours fade and you find yourself choosing a different palette, go with it, change the colours you wear and surround yourself with.

And I promise you , all will be well in yourself and your life.

Keep it simple!

No need to over think nor analyse...........

Your soul knows, your body knows, you know, what colours are perfect for you at this time, all you need do is to trust yourself, trust your choices, and to choose the colours that you love.

That make you feel good, that put a smile on your face.
